| Appointments It will be necessary to see your child during the day, and to minimise the absence from school we will complete treatment in as few visits as possible. For those patients with important forthcoming examinations we try to reserve appointments at the end of the afternoon. We will charge for failed or cancelled appointments if less than twenty-four hours notice is given, and where we are unable to rebook that appointment with another patient. We prefer to see children in the treatment room by themselves, depending of course on their age and their emotional, mental and physical development. This is because a better trust develops between ourselves and the child when it is direct instead of going through the parent. We consider the child to be an individual in his or her own right. We aim to show the child that as they mature they can deal with minor stress by themselves. Good dentistry demands the undivided attention of the dentist, his nurse and of course the patient. An anxious parent often provides an unhelpful distractions we will, when appropriate, invite parents to watch procedures, strictly as 'passive observers'. Accounts At the end of each visit settlement will be by cash, cheque, credit card or Switch. Opening Hours The practice is open 8.30 - 5.00 Monday to Friday. We also provide emergency cover for our patients in the evenings and at weekends. |
